We will be updating the default version of PHP to 8.3 from the week beginning 2nd February 2026 on your server.

This is to follow the recommended depreciation lifecycle as provided by The PHP Foundation.

You can change to PHP 8.3 (as well as PHP 8.4 and 8.5) now via the PHP selector on your control panel. We would advise that you ensure that any software your website uses is updated to the latest version, and that you review your website after any changes to ensure compatibility.

We will retain selected older versions of PHP – but please be aware of the security implications to your applications of using a version of PHP which is no longer maintained or supported. There are also numerous advantages of using newer PHP versions, including significantly improved performance with each release.

At some point in the future, we will remove the availability of the majority of PHP versions which are considered End-Of-Life (EOL).
