Moves management of your existing domain registration to WH4SA.
A familiar name.
A fresh start with local support.
Already own your domain? Transfer its registration to WebHosting4SouthAfrica and keep the domain name your customers already know.
Bring your domain, hosting and email together with South African support.
Same domain. Local support.
Transferring a domain changes who manages the domain registration. It does not mean changing your domain name.
If your business already uses a domain such as:
yourbusiness.co.za
you can continue using the same domain after a successful transfer.
Moves management of your existing domain registration to WH4SA.
Moves your website files, databases and, where applicable, email to WH4SA hosting.
Your mailboxes and messages need their own migration plan if email is moving. A domain transfer does not move them automatically.
Customers can transfer a domain without moving their website, or move their hosting separately.
If you want to move both your domain and website to WH4SA, explore our hosting options and ask about migration.
Begin the domain-transfer process through the WH4SA Customer Dashboard.
The exact transfer requirements depend on the domain extension and current domain status.
The domain may need to be unlocked and its contact information should be correct.
Some domain extensions may require an authorisation/EPP code.
Complete the applicable transfer authorisation process for the domain extension.
Once the transfer completes successfully, the domain can be managed together with your WH4SA services.
If hosting or email is also moving, review the required DNS changes together.
A domain transfer and hosting migration are separate processes.
Transferring domain registration does not automatically move the website or email.
Existing website and email services can remain with their current hosting provider while the domain registration is transferred, provided the required DNS configuration remains correctly configured.
If website hosting or email is also being moved, the migration and DNS changes need to be coordinated appropriately.
Plan any service moves before changing DNS.
That's fine.
You can transfer your domain separately or move your website to WH4SA as well.
